Why drive with us

Work that fits around your life

Choose your own hours

Days, nights, overnights, weekends or on call. Accept the calls that fit your day and skip the ones that don't.

Paid per job, every week

Technicians average $600 to $1,200 per week. Those with mechanical skills can earn more.

Bonuses, commission and tips

Performance bonuses and commission on top of your per-job pay, and tips from customers are yours to keep.

Calls come to your phone

The White Knight driver app sends you the call, the location and the customer's details, tracks the job and handles the paperwork.

How hiring works

From application to your first call

No experience needed. Our skills assessment teaches each service step by step before you take a call.

Apply online

About three minutes: your contact details, vehicle, tools and availability. A resume is optional.

Confirmation email

You get an email right away confirming we received your application, and we get back to you within 24–48 hours.

Skills assessment

If it looks like a fit, we email you a link to four short modules (tire change, jump start, lockout, fuel delivery). Each one is a quick overview of the service, a brief quiz, and a phone video showing your tools and that you can do the job. About 45 minutes in total.

Phone interview

Once the assessment is complete we call you for a short phone interview.

Onboarding

Install the driver app, finish the background check and start accepting calls.

Good to know

Common questions

Do I need roadside experience?

No. Experience is a plus, but the skills assessment walks you through every service with pictures and step-by-step instructions, and the quiz and video make sure you can do it safely before your first call.

What vehicle do I need?

Any reliable, insured car, SUV, van or pickup that can carry your tools. You are not towing anything in this role.

What tools do I need to start?

A 2½ or 3 ton jack, a breaker bar or impact drill with a ½" lug-nut socket set (sizes 17–24), a jump box of 1200 A or more (or 20 ft+ jumper cables), an air compressor, a 5-gallon gas can and a lock-out kit (air wedge, plastic wedge and long-reach tool). Tell us what you already own on the application.

How and when am I paid?

You are paid for every completed job, settled weekly, plus any bonuses, commission and tips you earn. This is a contract position: you choose your hours and work out of your own vehicle.

Can I apply with a record?

Yes. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply. We run a background check during onboarding and look at the whole picture.
